Wünsche zur Demo

Refugees welcome! 2013

Refugees welcome! 2013

Before we will march against deportation and causes of flight on saturday, we have some important informations for you. Please read!

Allgemeines/ General Remarks

The rally starts at 1.00 p.m. at the north side of the main station. This area is under CCTV. During the rally we will stop three times for a speech and finish it at the Doberaner Platz. It will be dry and 6° C cold on Saturday. These are good conditions. Rascist are not welcome!

We would like to hold a rally without flags of nations or states. In our opinion, these constructs are a big part of the problem. The same applies for flags of political partys.

Charakter der Demonstration/ Character of the Rally

We strive for a loud and powerfull rally with explicit political statements to bystanders. We don´t accept needles aggressions against passerbys. We want to reach people, not scare them. Certainly we can´t decide for you how to take part in the rally, but we prefer an open and colourful one without a black bloc.

Kreative Beteiligung/ creativity

A good and impressive rally is made by the people who join it. Thats why we want you to be creative. Bring flags, banners, balloons, flyers or whatever. If it fits thematically and supports the rallys idea , take it with you! If you don’t have any material, there will also be some stuff available at the rally. We will distribute these or you can get them at the speaker- truck. We are happy and thankful if you use the stuff we made, due to the amount of work we put into creating it.

Blockbildung/ blocs

We don´t divide the rally into blocs and we don´t wish a division into people from the antifascist scene and non-white people. Maybe the Refugees welcome! – rally from 2013 could be an example to follow. We wish that people threatende by deportation, their supporters, white antifascist kids and all other participants march shoulder to shoulder.

Gefahrenquellen/ dangers

We want an open and colourful rally but nevertheless there can be some dangers. Espacially the „Weihnachtsmarkt“ contains some of them. A lot of people visit the market, also some racist, neonazis and other assholes. If they do, they might be drunk and aggressive. Thats why it is necessary to take care of each other and use the legal right of self-defence if they attack you or your friends. While the past few left-wing or refugee-rallys, neonazis tried to take pictures of the demonstrators with their smartphones. If you see such people point it out and tell the stewards. It is also possible that right wing groups will try to disturb the rally.

Polizei/ police

Our experiences from the past five years of left-wing rallys is that the police stays calm if its not a rally against a fascist march. We think saturday will be the same. Indeed sometimes police makes trouble without a reason. They occasionally stop rallys suddenly or run into the crowd. Thats why you should stay concentrated and calm. If the police provokes, ignore them, stick together, and care or each other.

Mind the fact that people with an insecure status will be on the demonstration whom we dont want to be put at risk. Also it is important to us to march the full route.

If you follow our tips there is a good chance that we will have a good and powerful rally against deportation and causes of flight. We look forward to the rally and hope you will be many.
